Episode 2 | Cellus' Observatory

Araclaw and Fliboar approached a small observatory in the middle of a grassy field just outside the forest. A large telescope poked out of the double dome structure as if it were a large eye-stalk of an insect watching the skies.

Fliboar: To be honest, I've never seen the inside of Cellus' obser-..... observ-
Araclaw: Observatory.
Filboar: Observatory. Right. Thank you.
Araclaw: It's pretty cool. But I'm not sure if you'll like it or not. You've never really seen "high-tech" stuff before have you? Well at least other than that spaceship.
Fliboar: Nah.

The two walked up to the front door and Araclaw quickly knocked.

???: Just a minute!

The door the opened showing floating cell. He had two eyes and one big pink one on his forehead.

Cellus: AH! Araclaw, Fliboar. What a surprise. If I would've known I had guests I would've prepared drinks but-
Araclaw: It's alright. We just need your help with something.
Cellus: Oh. Well then, please come inside. But wipe your feet first. i just got the place cleaned.

Cellus then floated into the observatory. Araclaw and Fliboar quickly wiped their feet on the mat saying "Welcome Home" before entering. Around the observatory were machinery, charts and a few computers.

Fliboar: Woah! Look at this place! This is amazing! I don't know how else to describe it!
Cellus: Perhaps advanced?
Fliboar: Yes that. Thanks.
Cellus: No problem. So what is it that you need from me, gentlemen?
Araclaw: Well there is something huge that landed in the forest.
Cellus: Oh. The meteor? I've been tracking that for days. I knew it would land here today.
Araclaw: You know about it too?
Cellus: Correct.
Araclaw: Anyway, turns out it's no meteor. It's a spaceship.

Cellus stopped right before he got to the stairs.

Cellus: A spaceship? I knew I should've changed the lens earlier. So I assume you say it.
Araclaw: Yes, well there was an Alien inside and-
Cellus: What? But I thought life on other planets was highly unlikely. This is an amazing discovery! What did you find out?
Araclaw: Not much. But Fliboar decided it was a good idea to attack it.
Fliboar: Like I said, she scared me.
Cellus: May I recommend that next time you take a more passive approach next time?
Araclaw: So, we managed to survive the attack from her, but now she's heading towards town and she may attack everyone.
Cellus: Hm.... I see. This is quite a problem. Well, maybe we should discuss this at my desk.

Araclaw and Cellus headed over to the circular desk while Fliboar went off to marvel at the gadgets in the observatory.

Cellus: So, how hostile is this particular alien?
Araclaw: Well, she only attacked when we did.
Cellus: Hm. Well, she may just be defensive, but it is still questionable what she may do when she gets to Twinbirch. This is a dangerous idea, but perhaps I can try to convince her not to attack and that we are friendly.
Araclaw: Well, you are the smart one. So maybe. But are you sure you want to face her? You are a bit of a pacifist.
Cellus: Oh, not at all. I just fight when the time is necessary. But I suggest you keep yourselves hidden. She will most likely still find you and Fliboar as a threat.
Araclaw: Good idea. But we will stay close by in case she decides to attack.
Cellus: Good plan. I believe we should head out now.
Araclaw: Ok Fliboar. We have a plan. We are just going to have Cellus try to talk to this alien, and if it fails, we'll just fend her off.
Fliboar: Aw. I was just about to check out this giant looking thingy.
Cellus: That is a telescope.
Fliboar: Oh. Well can I see it.
Cellus: I'll show you how to use it when we get back, but for now we should focus on catching up to your... extraterrestrial friend. Besides, it's far too early to see anything.
Fliboar: *sigh* Fine.
